Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma and four years of administrative experience.
  • One year of experience in office management, administrative support, project coordination, or related experience.
  • The ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical scheduling and the administrative aspects of the department while providing high-level administrative support.
  • Assign work and prioritize tasks for support and office staff to ensure effective customer service.
  • Supervise office staff by maintaining Kronos, monitoring educational needs, and reviewing performance as needed.
  • Provide direction to scheduling staff.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all departments.
  • Direct office staff work to ensure accurate, complete, and appropriate delivery of messages.
  • Provide training to administrative staff.
  • Manage daily, monthly, and yearly schedules.
  • Direct and coordinate department meetings and special events.
  • Prepare slides, agendas, and meeting minutes while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ensure the budget remains within guidelines and provide reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Serve as liaison for clinical staff, residents, fellows, and faculty for the inpatient consult service.
  • Gather statistics, complete reports, and perform other scheduled or requested duties.
  • Handle patient, family, or staff complaints, investigate complaints, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Coordinate problem resolution with other departments as monitored by a manager or director.
