About the company

Aviva Investors is a global asset manager that partners with clients to understand their investment goals and concerns, then builds integrated investment solutions across asset classes with disciplined risk management. It works with large institutions and individuals saving for retirement, listening first to client needs and joining dots across markets to deliver outcomes now and over the long term. Its differentiator is the emphasis on client insight and collaboration across teams to connect ideas and manage risk, not relying on a single product. The company's goal is to help clients achieve meaningful investment outcomes through thoughtful, long-term partnerships, while acknowledging that investments can go up or down and that past performance is not guaranteed.

Aviva Investors tokenises $27.9B Sterling Liquidity Fund on XRP Ledger

Aviva Investors has launched a tokenised share class of its Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, the firm and Ripple announced on October 26, 2026. The fund is Aviva's largest, with about £22 billion in assets under management. It is the firm's second tokenised fund, after the USD Liquidity Fund launched in July 2026. Together, the two share classes hold more than £86 million, including a £50 million investment from Aviva in the new class. The fund uses a digital twin model, which represents holdings on-chain while the existing off-chain structure stays intact. Eligible investors with digital wallets can access it. "We believe tokenised funds can increase efficiency and ultimately lead to improved client outcomes," said Mark Versey, chief executive officer of Aviva Investors.

Aviva Investors, ABN AMRO invest €100 million in circular concrete platform SL Materials.

Aviva Investors, ABN AMRO invest €100 million in circular concrete platform SL Materials. Sustainable building materials provider SL Materials announced a new €100 million (USD$112 million) investment from Aviva Investors and ABN AMRO, with proceeds aimed at scaling the company's circular concrete platform. Building materials are a key source of global greenhouse gas emissions. Cement production, an ingredient in concrete, accounts for approximately 8% of global carbon dioxide emissions, with over 900 kg of CO2 emissions generated for every 1,000 kg of material produced. Founded in 2019, Netherlands-based SL Materials, formerly Urban Mine, enables the re-use of high value concrete from demolition projects in the production of new concrete. The company's platform recovers recover sand, gravel and cement from demolished concrete, using its technology and refining process to produce recycled raw materials designed to match the technical quality of primary materials. According to SL Materials, the solution produces high-quality, low-carbon concrete that meets the strength, durability and certification requirements of conventional concrete, and delivers significant reductions in embodied carbon compared with traditional concrete. The company said that the new investments, made through Aviva Investors' Climate Transition European Infrastructure Fund and ABN AMRO's Sustainable Impact Fund, will support the expansion of its existing operations in Zaandam, as well as the development of additional production capacity across new sites and further technology development and innovation. Angenika Kunne, Head of Infrastructure Equity at Aviva Investors, said: "SL Materials combines a proven track record of operating at commercial scale with what we believe is a compelling opportunity for further growth. Having demonstrated its ability to produce high-quality circular concrete that can compete with conventional products on both performance and economics, we see significant potential to build on that established platform, particularly through near-term opportunities to expand production capacity and develop new sites." Alongside the new capital, SL Materials also announced the appointments of James Cousins as CEO and Steve Millburn as COO. Cousins said: "We have demonstrated that concrete recovered from demolition can be transformed at industrial scale into high-quality materials for new concrete, without compromising quality or technical performance. With the long-term backing of Aviva Investors CTEIF and ABN AMRO SIF, we can now build on that foundation, expand our capacity and establish SL Materials as a leading industrial platform for circular low carbon concrete." The transaction was also supported by Kingsley Capital, including the contribution of Kingsley's UK circular-concrete platform Koreco as a wholly owned subsidiary of SL Materials.

Aviva Investors acquires Adriana Infrastructure CLO to expand private debt platform

Aviva Investors has acquired the Adriana Infrastructure CLO to expand its private debt platform and non-bank lending capabilities. The collateralised loan obligation is backed by a diversified portfolio of UK public-private partnership and private finance initiative infrastructure loans. Established in 2008, Adriana has had a longstanding relationship with Aviva Investors, which has invested in the vehicle's senior notes since 2013. The acquisition enables the asset manager to expand into securitised real-asset investments. Infrastructure CLOs remain a specialist part of the global securitisation market, with most activity concentrated in the US dollar market. Aviva Investors plans to develop further securitisation structures, including CLOs backed by infrastructure and other real-asset loans, particularly in the sub-investment-grade segment.
