Warfel Construction Company is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Laborer to join our team. A concrete laborer performs a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of teammates on a construction jobsite. This position requires strict adherence to all Warfel safety rules and regulations, including any site-specific necessities.

A concrete laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of coworkers on a construction jobsite.

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Measuring distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch lines tight.
Loading and unloading material from trucks.
Mixing concrete, as necessary, with hand tools or by using portable mixer.
Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete for slabs, sidewalks, curbs, walls, and other structures.
Operate equipment such as power screeds, trowels, and saws.
May be required to operate hand and power tools as well as operator company equipment and vehicles.
The ability to supply basic tools required for the position (such as toolbox, hammer, nail bag, etc.) A full list will be provided.
Needs to have a commitment to safety and keeping the work area neat and clean, including general housekeeping items.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Position spends 100% of the time on an active construction site. Will need to move frequently throughout a construction jobsite with uneven terrain and in inclement weather.
Frequent need to lift or move heavy materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver and operate equipment occurs occasionally.
Working at heights will vary between 5' to 100' + above the ground, as well as working with various pieces of equipment that will provide protection at such heights: ladders. scaffolds, aerial man lifts, and personal fall protection.
Climbing up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects in multi-story buildings while carrying tools and equipment may occur occasionally.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for long periods of time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school or equivalent, technical school or college experience.
Ability to use and read a tape measure with precise standards and accuracy.
Basic understanding of prints, sketches, and blueprints.
Excellent communication, organization and people skills, with proven success working in team environments.
Must be able to work with limited supervision.
