Terms & Conditions of Referrals
We know, T&Cs are tedious, but to ensure your referral is valid, please do review the below!
In the event your referral is successful, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for self-filing of all taxes associated with the referral bonus; in the majority of situations, you should consider the referral bonus as ’income’ for the purposes of income tax submissions.
We only accept referrals from individuals, not companies or recruitment agencies
We don’t accept CVs from external legal entities or recruitment agencies. Any unsolicited CVs sent to us from such an entity will be treated as property of Omnea, and any attached terms and conditions associated with these CVs will be null and void.
You must have a personal relationship with the candidate in question for the referral to be valid.
You must obtain the candidate’s consent to submit the referral and their personal details for the referral to be valid.
You must include all the mandatory information on the ’Application’ form. If mandatory fields are not completed, or are completed with fillers that do not answer the questions in the mandatory fields, we may still reach out to the candidate but their progression and application to Omnea will Not be treated as a valid referral except at Omnea’s absolute discretion.
For the referral to be valid, the candidate must be hired within 9 calendar months of your submission (as measured by when Omnea receives their signature on their contract of employment. After 9 calendar months, if the candidate is subsequently hired, it will not count as a valid referral except at Omnea’s absolute discretion
You must refer a candidate to a specific open role.
The role must be open on this site at the date you submit the referral, for the referral to be valid.
If they are hired into that role within the relevant period, or into the same role at a more junior or senior level (e.g. they are hired as a Mid Software Engineer rather than a Senior Software Engineer), the referral will be deemed valid.
A referral will not be deemed valid (except at Omnea’s absolute discretion):
if the candidate is referred for an individual contributor role, but subsequently are hired for a management role, or vice versa
if the candidate is referred for a role but are hired into a different company track (e.g. they are referred for an L1 sales role but they join in a marketing role).
The referral bonus is only payable if the candidate passes their probation period, which may be up to 6 months following their join date.
You may only refer a given individual to one role within a 9 month period. If you refer a candidate to multiple roles, only the first submission (as timestamped by Ashby) will count as a valid referral, except in Omnea’s absolute discretion.
A referral will not be valid if, prior to your submitting a referral,
in the preceding 9 calendar months (as judged by the submission timestamp in Ashby):
the candidate has already applied to a role on this track at Omnea
someone else has already referred this candidate to this role-track at Omnea
an external agency that has been contracted to work on this role has already submitted this candidate to this role-track at Omnea
an internal Omnea recruiter has been in contact (as evidenced by email, Linkedin, or phone timestampe) about this role-track at Omnea
in the preceding 2 calendar months, an internal Omnea recruiter has attempted contacted the Candidate (evidenced e.g. by sending a LinkedIn InMail). This may be waived, but only at Omnea’s absolute discretion.
You are responsible for reverting to us with requested payment information within 3 months of our contacting you to confirm the referral is successful (candidate is hired and probation period is passed) and the bonus is payable for the referral bonus to remain payable.
We will collect an email address to reach you at as part of the referral submission and it is to this email address that we will send correspondence is the referral is successful.
Omnea’s obligation to pay the referral bonus if the correspondence is not replied to with the required payment details in this time frame.
We will generally only pay the referral bonus in £ GBP and we will only pay the referral bonus to a UK Bank Account, except at Omnea’s absolute discretion, and in which case we reserve the right to deduct any international transfer or currency exchange fees from the referral bonus of £10,000 GBP.
Omnea will not take any responsibility for the incorrect communication of payment details, by you, the referrer.
Omnea will not be obligated to seek repayment, or otherwise pay-again the referral bonus if the payment details you provide are incorrect and we are either unable to make payment, the payment is blocked by your bank, or by virtue of the referrer having provided incorrect details the payment is made to the wrong account.
If a referral is not valid or void, per these T&Cs, the referral bonus is not payable except at Omnea’s absolute Discretion.
