Requirements
  • Must be familiar with the National Electric Code and use it to verify proper installation requirements and designs.
  • Must be able to independently assess job needs from schematics or blueprints and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must possess the ability to forecast future labor and material requirements for a project.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess and be able to document at least 3 years of experience in commercial electrical installation.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75%.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and ramps and work in restricted spaces.
  • Must have sufficient hand, arm, leg, and foot strength and coordination for pushing, pulling, grasping, turning, and operating controls.
  • Must have clear and color vision, including the ability to read small print and use computers.
  • Must be able to sit and drive for long periods.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.
Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical work involving the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for customers.
  • Provide on-site client installation, repair, and equipment maintenance services.
  • Oversee electrical services and perform tests on electrical equipment and circuits.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve customer requests or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain customer relationships and follow company guidelines.
  • Guide clients on proper equipment use.
  • Suggest electrical equipment upgrades at customer sites.
  • Update project drawings and prepare relevant documents and reports.
