Requirements
- Four to eight years of CNC programming experience in a production environment.
- Proven experience programming both CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience improving cycle times and program efficiency.
- Hands-on setup and prove-out experience.
- Strong experience with CNC milling and turning.
- Proficiency in Mastercam or similar computer-aided manufacturing software.
- Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and blueprint reading.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programs, or setup.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with required personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials as needed throughout the workday.
Responsibilities
- Create, optimize, and support CNC programs for production parts across milling and turning platforms.
- Program CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam or equivalent computer-aided manufacturing software.
- Develop efficient toolpaths, speeds and feeds, and workholding strategies.
- Support initial setups and prove out new programs on the manufacturing floor.
- Diagnose and resolve machining issues related to tooling, programs, or setup.
- Implement mistake-proofing techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and improve tool life.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
