Requirements
  • A Leader and Influencer: demonstrable experience managing and mentoring analysts, coupled with a proven ability to partner with and influence senior business stakeholders (Director, VP level).
  • Strong Commercial Acumen: ability to think like a business owner, connect data points to financial outcomes and articulate the so what behind every analysis.
  • Deep Domain Expertise: hands-on experience untangling the complexities of digital marketing and business analytics, comfortable dissecting performance marketing channels (Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, CRM) and modeling business drivers like lifetime value and customer acquisition cost.
  • Technical Proficiency: advanced proficiency in SQL for complex analysis and comfort with a scripting language such as Python or R for statistical modeling. Experience with modern business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau) and data warehousing concepts.
  • A Pragmatic and Strategic Mindset: analytical, creative thinker who can navigate ambiguity, with a bias for action and ability to balance speed, depth, and accuracy to deliver impact.
  • Passion for the Mission: enthusiasm for using data to help people discover and experience the world.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end analytical roadmap for our Growth and Marketing teams; translate complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives and present findings to senior leadership, influencing our profit and loss and strategic direction.
  • Define which questions to ask in partnership with executive stakeholders and do not just answer questions but shape the research agenda.
  • Partner with leadership across Marketing, Business, and Operations as the go-to analytics expert, providing insights that influence budget allocation, channel optimization, and international growth.
  • Build and mentor a world-class team of data analysts; hire, manage, and develop talent and foster a culture of excellence, curiosity, and impact.
  • Drive tangible business outcomes by designing and analyzing A/B tests, building attribution models, and creating frameworks to measure the return on investment of growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and be comfortable communicating at senior levels, including presenting to executives.

Headout Acquires Dabble for AI Experiences

Headout, a New York-based tours and activities marketplace, has acquired Dabble, a Y Combinator-backed startup specializing in AI, computer vision, and spatial computing. The acquisition aims to enhance AI-powered travel experiences for Headout users. Financial terms were not disclosed.
