Requirements

  • At least 5 years of previous experience working as an AV Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in audiovisual equipment, systems, and signal flow is required.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms, audio mixing consoles, lighting systems, and multimedia software is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to interact effectively with clients and team members and explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is required for accurate setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, adhere to tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong collaborative skills are required to work effectively as part of a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • The candidate must be capable of lifting heavy equipment and performing physical tasks related to equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of AV technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute AV projects, including installing, terminating, testing, and commissioning cable systems in accordance with engineering designs.
  • Conduct site surveys and assess AV requirements to determine the materials, equipment, and resources needed for each project.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop AV plans and strategies that meet organizational and project needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines during AV installations and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex AV issues using specialized tools and equipment to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform cable terminations, splicing, and testing for copper, coaxial, and Category cables to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Maintain accurate AV project documentation, including as-built drawings, redlines, test results, and project progress reports.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree or certification in audiovisual technology, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience leading a team is preferred.
