About the Company

Plug Technologies

EV-only wholesale car auction platform

Plug Technologies runs an online wholesale auction marketplace focused on used electric vehicles, connecting dealers, consignors, and fleet operators across the United States. Its EV-exclusive auction remotely collects vehicle data—battery health, software-enabled features, computer hardware, available tax credits, and charging network access—and presents it in each listing so buyers can value cars accurately, with most offers appearing within 24 hours. Its key differentiator is the proprietary EV-specific data gathered directly from the vehicles, unlike traditional auctions that overlook these details; in 2025 it added Trade Desk to offer guaranteed cash offers or auction paths for EV trade-ins. The company aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of EV remarketing by linking dealers who specialize in EVs with those who receive EVs as trade-ins but lack EV-specific selling expertise.
