Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science is required.
- One to three years of development experience in Java or equivalent experience in object-oriented languages is required.
- Basic knowledge of database Structured Query Language is required.
- Ability to handle production issues is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- Availability for production support and on-call duty as needed is required.
Responsibilities
- Add new features to the digital auction software.
- Work in a team environment using Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Extreme Programming.
- Work with the business team to fulfill requests.
- Work with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to release software into production.
- Stabilize the code, build, and deployment processes.
- Assist with production support and on-call duty as needed.
- Follow the change management process to control changes to production systems, including physical or system updates.
- Collaborate closely with and assist Operations and Quality Assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of new systems, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Take ownership of projects and suggest revising, repairing, or expanding existing programs to increase operating efficiency.
- Develop and maintain unit tests for software components in development.
- Participate in requirements-gathering and definition efforts.
- Provide accurate estimates to support project planning.
- Respond quickly and effectively to bugs.
