About the job
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution, or an equivalent engineering Bachelor of Science, is required.
- An Engineer-in-Training credential is preferred.
- Zero to three years of experience is required.
- A basic understanding of site grading and storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and storm water best management practices is required, along with an interest in civil engineering design.
- Intermediate proficiency in 2D computer-aided design is required.
- Novice proficiency in Civil 3D computer-aided design, including the ability to create basic alignments and existing profiles, is required.
- Experience with Google Earth, Microsoft Suite, and AutoTURN is required.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills are required.
- Under supervision and with experienced staff, complete civil engineering designs and generate construction plans and specifications, technical calculations, exhibits, and reports.
- Use Civil 3D alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans and sheet setups.
