About the job

Requirements
  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Technologist training program; one year of catheterization laboratory, electrophysiology, or interventional radiology experience, or participation in the cardiovascular technologist apprenticeship program, may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within six months.
Responsibilities
  • Practice in a technologically advanced interventional procedural area.
  • Assist with scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring invasive cardiovascular procedures.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities in the Pediatric and Adult Congenital Invasive Cardiology Program.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of Cardiovascular Technologist work experience in a Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Laboratory is preferred.
  • Graduation from a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Technologist training program is preferred.
  • RCIS certification is preferred; graduates meeting the minimum education requirement should be licensed, certified, or registered by an appropriate credentialing program.
