GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Functions as administrative liaison between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments, and outside agencies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Has authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the administrator on call, Legal Dept and/or Risk Management when appropriate. (30%)
• Serves as a resource person in dealing with complex or complicated patients. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care. (30%)
• Facilitates patient flow, identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care, ensures resources are utilized appropriately and in a cost effective manner. (20%)
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures of the facility and with all regulatory requirements. (20%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• 3 years recent nursing experience

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Previous management experience

Additional Employment Requirements:

• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
