A high school diploma or GED is required.
At least 1 year of machine operating experience is required.
Knowledge of machine operation sufficient to keep machinery and equipment operating is required.
The employee works under general supervision and receives assignments from a supervisor, lead operator, and line operators.
The employee must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and work schedules.
Basic math skills are required.
The employee must be able to identify problems and assist in problem solving.
The employee must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
The work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions; occasional climbing of stairs or ladders may be required.
Responsibilities
Make adjustments to Electronic Sorting Machines to ensure efficient operation and meet quality requirements.
Conduct tests as required by each process and enter data into a computer.
Operate and adjust production equipment while monitoring its functions to meet production standards.
Perform daily equipment setup.
Clean equipment and surrounding areas frequently as needed for efficient operation.
Operate various types of Electronic Sorting Machine equipment as needed, monitor bin levels, and relieve MPL bin tenders during breaks and lunches.
Contribute within a team environment to production improvements.
Understand and adhere to the Blue Diamond HACCP process and auditing, Good Manufacturing Procedures, and safety practices.
Perform other tasks assigned by management, such as cross-training other employees.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Electronic Sorting Machine (ESM) Operator is responsible for maintaining efficient product flow through the electronic sorting equipment, ensuring proper sorting of the product. This position monitors and adjusts electronic sorting equipment, ensuring that production standards are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Makes various adjustments to Electronic Sorting Machines to ensure efficient operation and quality requirements are met.
Conduct tests as required by each process and enter data into computer.
Operates and adjusts production equipment keeping constantly alert to operating functions ensuring that production standards are met.
Perform daily setup of equipment.
Frequently clean equipment and surrounding areas as necessary for efficient operation.
May operate various types of ESM Machines. Monitors bin levels. Relieves MPL bin tenders during breaks and lunches.
Contribute within a team environment leading to production improvements.
Must understand and adhere to Blue Diamond HACCP process and auditing, Good Manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.
Required to perform other tasks as assigned by management, such as cross training other employees.
