Possession of, or ability to readily obtain, a Georgia state-certified license for Water Distribution Systems Operators.

Responsibilities
Locate and repair leaks in the water distribution and wastewater collection system.
Install new water and sewer mains and services.
Operate remote-control and manual camera units to identify line blockages and breaks.
Repair and replace fire hydrants.
Locate and excavate underground utilities and make street, sidewalk, and lawn repairs.
Make sewer and water main line repairs.
Repair manholes.
Change out meters.
Replace meter boxes and lids.
Read and record water usage data along an assigned route using a radio-read device or manually.
Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment.
