Virtualization Engineer with Vmware SRM - Vsphere
About the job
- At least 3 years of experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager.
- Experience working in a multi-tenancy environment with a shared datacenter containing more than 1,000 virtual machines.
- Strong experience installing, configuring, migrating, upgrading, and patching large VMware environments.
- Ability to design and build environments according to requester or client requirements.
- Ability to design and test environments to corporate technical standards.
- Ability to evaluate customer technical requirements and provide feedback and recommendations.
- Experience troubleshooting, tuning, and implementing high-availability strategies for VMware environments in critical production settings.
- Ability to provide VMware design expertise to software development teams and review, develop, and implement production environments.
- Plan, design, develop, and maintain server environments, including production, development, and test environments.
- At least 5 years of VMware experience in a production environment, with strong knowledge of vSphere 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x.
- Ability to work in process-mature production environments.
- Ability to prepare documentation and implementation plans according to defined timelines.
- Exposure to Windows Server 2003 and 2008 and Red Hat 5 and 6.
- Experience with performance monitoring in a large vSphere 4.x environment.
