Requirements
  • Experience using the Linux command-line interface.
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash and Python.
  • Experience performing system administration, including installation, configuration, and support of commercial off-the-shelf, government off-the-shelf, and free and open-source software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment.
  • General technical knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution.
  • Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data.
  • Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
  • Experience with distributed file systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS.
  • Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi and virtualization environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible.
  • Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures.
  • Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE OneView and Nagios.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • A Security+ certification is required.
  • Fifteen years of experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or an additional five years of experience, is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • A Top Secret clearance and favorable completion of a polygraph are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide support for a large-scale Linux system, including installation of commercial off-the-shelf, government off-the-shelf, and free and open-source software.
  • Perform day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
  • Maintain the system's security posture.
  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
