Integration Engineer 3

About the Role

Uber Freight is looking for a Integration Engineer III to join our Integration Engineering team. This position will provide a strong technical vision that ensures the team stays current with evolving technology and drive continuous technical improvements. The person in this role will produce high level development while concurrently coaching team members.The candidate will develop expertise in both internal and external tooling, and will use their technical capabilities, including SQL, logistics, and customer relationships to implement and maintain valuable solutions.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Design and implement solutions that connect systems, software, and technologies to ensure they work together smoothly and efficiently
• Deploy the implementation to the appropriate environment - this includes maps, database setup, envelopes, and any business process changes
• Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvements regarding the job accountabilities
• Provide integration testing support and expertise to Product, Development, Operations, Customers, Third Parties, Carriers, and QA
• Provide a strong technical vision that ensures team stays current with evolving technology, and drive implementation of continuous technical improvements
• Become the in-house specialist on both homegrown and third-party tools used to increase quality or efficiency and to analyze and debug system integration issues.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, product, and engineering to ensure successful implementations, and influence future product and capabilities
• Plan and execute strategic projects - manage stakeholders and communicate roles and responsibilities to ensure timelines are met. 

Basic Qualifications

• Computer Science bachelor college degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years  of experience using data to facilitate business decisions; high growth, technology, management consulting, operations management,  database architecture.  Understand the basic testing process, including unit, integration, regression, defects, and rework and maintain a higher understanding of the customer integration testing and rework processes
• Understand basic coding best practices, version control, PL/SQL scripts, Higher understanding of troubleshooting and architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft IIS API setup.
• Proficient with Excel/data management
• Ecommerce Logistics 
• You have experience with EDI
• Ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data and Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable with ambiguity; the ability to structure ideas into actionable plans
• Excellent attention to detail
• Supply chain or logistics design and engineering a plus
