  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-7 Years experience with automation equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with programming languages and software used in controls engineering, such as ladder logic (Studio 5000, HMI (FactoryTalk View ME), Omron, etc.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, and of bringing in new equipment design / installation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Experience leading projects from conception to completion, including vendor selection, specification development, and equipment commissioning.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of automation projects from concept to completion, including testing, commissioning, and training of personnel.
  • Evaluate existing processes to identify areas for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Utilize sound engineering problem solving skills to generate cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing operations, quality engineering, and product development to ensure seamless and effective integration of automated equipment solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support to manufacturing operations for existing and new automation systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
