View

Suncrest Health Services runs hospice, palliative and home health care for seriously ill and recovering patients across the United States. Its nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains and volunteers visit patients where they live, including private homes, assisted living communities and nursing facilities, and staff answer calls around the clock. Hospice care focuses on comfort and symptom relief near the end of life, with bereavement support for families after a patient dies. Care is paid for mainly by Medicare, which covers hospice for terminally ill patients, along with Medicaid and private insurance. Suncrest was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Sandy, Utah.

What believers are saying

  • Retirement savings vest quickly: Suncrest postings offer a 401(k) match that fully vests after 90 days.
  • Some nurse roles add signing bonuses: Suncrest's Santa Cruz RN opening lists $50 to $60 hourly and a $3,000 bonus.
  • Training is slated for investment: Suncrest's February 2026 regulatory filing plans a learning system covering all clinicians.

What critics are saying

  • Private equity is taking control: in March 2026 Oregon approved New York firm Court Square's majority buyout of Suncrest.
  • On-call nursing runs in weeklong blocks: a West Des Moines RN role works seven days on, then seven off.
  • Nurses drive their own cars: Suncrest's RN postings require reliable transportation and auto insurance to travel across service areas.

What makes Suncrest Health Services unique

  • Visits run above typical levels: Suncrest offers hospice patients five aide visits and two nurse visits every week.
