At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
As a member of the New Glenn Avionics team, you will design, develop, and verify high-performance hardware for various flight vehicles. Our team is responsible for design, analysis, test, integration, and maintenance of all vehicle avionics systems, including flight computers, RF communications, vehicle controls, navigation instrumentation, power systems, astronaut audio and video, data acquisition, and more. You will be integrated with our rocket program and technical leads to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test and production release of on-vehicle components and sub-systems. Your responsibilities will encompass electronic requirements, architecture concepts, detailed design, and development. In addition, you will follow avionics designs through formal verification, environmental qualifcation, release and participate in flight support activities.
Your responsibilities as a RF Electrical Engineer will be to support the design, implementation, and testing of next generation communications radios. We’re looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to help pave the road to space. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our culture of inclusion
• Hands-on experience with RF testing equipment (Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, signal generators, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of PCB design, layout and testing
In addition to the general qualifications above, an RF Electrical Engineer will have expertise in several of the following areas:
• RF communication subsystem and/or component design, with a strong background in RF and antennas principles; specifc focus on UHF and S-bands
