Requirements
  • At least 10 years of accounting experience within the federal contracting space.

Responsibilities
  • Act as head of the accounting department with responsibility for the company's financial statements, general ledger, reporting, budgeting, treasury, inventory, procurement, job costing, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, and special analyses.
  • Manage daily, monthly, and annual financial activities, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Establish, monitor, improve, and enforce financial policies and procedures to guide financial decisions.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to protect assets and mitigate risk.
  • Conduct audits and provide information to external auditors to monitor and confirm the company's financial condition.
  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules and collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans.
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Collect, interpret, and report financial data and key performance indicators to provide the status of the company's financial condition.
  • Support strategic decision-making with special reports by collecting, analyzing, responding to, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and jurisdictional requirements by studying legislation, enforcing adherence, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Schedule and assign employees and follow up on work results to complete operational requirements.
  • Assist with hiring new financial personnel and orient and train employees.
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or master's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Experience working with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Excel and WebEx Teams.
  • Exposure to government reselling and various billing platforms.
