About the Company

Armed Services YMCA of The U S A

Provides no-cost military family support programs

ASYMCA is a national nonprofit that supports military service members and their families by offering free or low-cost programs through 12 local branches and partners on military installations. Its programs include Operation Little Learners (early childhood education), Operation Hero (after-school for military kids), Operation Ride Home (holiday travel for junior enlisted), and Children’s Waiting Rooms in military hospitals, plus emergency relief, food assistance, and the Military Outreach Initiative that provides free gym memberships and respite child care. It partners with the Department of Defense and relies on donations, sponsorships, and program fees to fund operations, distinguishing itself with a long history dating back to 1861 and a nationwide, on-base service model. Its goal is to ease financial and logistical pressures on junior enlisted members and their families and help them stay resilient and connected.
