- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant combination of education and work experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a quality role within the Cosmetics Industry or similar.
- Knowledge of quality systems and cosmetics cGMP (ISO 9001, ISO 22716, etc.)
- Experience performing Quality audits.
- Experience with a variety of Quality competencies such as AQL, root cause analysis, and CAPA management.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Attention to detail
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively.
- The ability to operate effectively and efficiently on an independent level.
- NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work from / visit our NYC Office 2-3 times per month.
- Must be able to be onsite at Distribution Center as needed to oversee QC operations.
- Ensure established standards for safety, compliance, quality, and performance are upheld for all products.
- Manage inbound QC inspections from contract manufacturers including all required documentation.
- Coordinate inspection requirements with receiving and warehouse teams.
- Support development teams to establish and maintain product specifications and standards.
- Maintain production retains.
- Track supplier performance data and report monthly.
- Lead the non-conformance process for all Quality issues including communication, investigation, and closeout.
- Ensure all CAPA are sufficient, tracked, and closed out within the agreed timeframe.
- Directly oversee stock status as required.
- Provide escalation on quality issues and status to Quality leadership and business stakeholders as required.
- Perform quality audits of suppliers, contract manufacturers, and distribution centers.
- Develop, improve, and deploy Quality processes and procedures.
- Create work instructions or training materials as needed to ensure processes are clear and consistent.
- Collaborate with Regulatory teams to ensure products and procedures uphold the most current compliance requirements.
- Attend line trials for new product initiatives to support technical risk mitigation with Development Teams.
- Perform all other duties as required.
