  • Graduate from an accredited radiology technology program.
  • Hold current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in radiography and mammography modalities.
  • Hold a current Oregon license.
  • Hold American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification.
  • Hold an Image Wisely pledge certificate, or obtain it within 30 days of hire and annually by January 30 thereafter.
  • Hold an Image Gently pledge certificate, or obtain it within 30 days of hire and annually by January 30 thereafter.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use a personal computer and software programs applicable to the position.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate applicable office equipment.
  • Deal effectively with interdepartmental contacts and the public.
  • Maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
  • Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs.
  • Have adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision.
  • Possess fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and the ability to grasp and handle objects.
  • Use proper body mechanics to assist patients with ambulation and transfers in and out of beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds when required.
  • Communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or by telephone.
  • Have one year of previous experience in mammography.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of mammography examinations for patients.
  • Apply the principles, theories, and techniques of mammography imaging to provide reliable imaging results.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in stereo biopsy is preferred.
