Requirements
- Hold a recognized certificate as a Health Care Aide.
- Be registered with any required licensing body, organization, Health Care Aide directory, or registry.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Operate related equipment.
- Have the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living to address personal, social, physical, and recreational needs under the direction of the nurse.
- Perform all duties in a safe, caring manner according to residents’ wishes and Park Place policies and procedures.
- Promote residents’ independence and optimal functioning of mind, body, and spirit.
- Treat residents with dignity and demonstrate an attitude of caring.
- Maintain a commitment to resident safety and the organization’s culture of safety.
- Work in a fast-paced care environment.
- Work in a team setting.
- Collaborate and communicate with others in a respectful manner.
