Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and advises on energy policies, programs, and regulatory impacts to support strategic objectives; conducts policy and program analysis and provides recommendations on energy policies, strategies, and regulatory impacts.
  • Provides public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting, and report development; uses data tracking tools; conducts workforce policy analysis and convening; performs energy market economic and regulatory analysis as part of technical consulting services for the Department of Energy Office of Policy.
  • Supports mission objectives with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
  • Develops analyses, supports initiatives, and ensures alignment with project objectives; engages in collaboration and strategic implementation to support DOE initiatives.
  • Core services include advising on policies, improving efficiency, managing projects, and ensuring compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in energy policy and technical consulting; domain expertise in energy and policy fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience is typical; however, expressed as desirable is not consistent here.
