Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/vehicle engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
  • 6 years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1
  • Very good technical understanding and sound specialist knowledge of vehicle development and vehicle production with focus on the Energy and Drive Systems
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle technology in the areas of vehicle Energy and Drive Systems
  • Very good vehicle assessment skills and a very good understanding of the vehicle as a whole
  • Sound knowledge of quality management
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • ASQ certification, AIAG, VDA experience an asset
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality of the Scout vehicles energy and drive system from the customer's perspective
  • Ensure the concept quality, usability and functional quality in all vehicle projects to create customer satisfaction
  • Manage the quality market research activities, quality studies and benchmarks to determine customer quality requirements
  • Oversee the definition of quality requirements, the quality maturity management and quality validation of Energy and Drive functions and systems
  • Execute quality approvals of vehicle Energy and Drive functions and systems
  • Definition of quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and operations to ensure product quality
  • Develop and provide leadership to the Technical Quality Energy and Drive team and oversee daily operations
  • Mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the capabilities of the Technical Quality Energy and Drive team
  • Work cross functionally with other departments within Scout
  • Perform other duties as assigned
