  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/vehicle engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
  • 6 years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1
  • Ability to translate customer voice into engineering targets; criteria prioritized according to customer expectations
  • Proven track record of working across all levels of the organization to raise issues and drive closure that aligns with program cost, quality, and timing requirements
  • Strong vehicle assessment skills and a broad understanding of the vehicle as a whole
  • Technical understanding and sound specialist knowledge of vehicle development and vehicle production with focus on: Energy, Drive, Infotainment, and Connectivity Systems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • ASQ certification, AIAG, VDA experience an asset
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the concept quality, usability and functional quality to drive customer satisfaction
  • Manage the cross-functional forecast and improvement plan for external, customer-focused surveys
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality of the Scout vehicles in: Energy, Drive, Infotainment, and Connectivity from the customer's perspective
  • Manage the quality market research activities, quality studies and benchmarks to determine customer quality requirements
  • Oversee the definition of quality requirements, the quality maturity management and quality validation of Energy, Drive, Infotainment, and Connectivity functions and systems
  • Execute quality approvals of vehicle functions and systems
  • Define quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and operations to ensure product quality
  • Develop and provide leadership to the Technical Quality teams and oversee daily operations
  • Mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the capabilities of the Technical Quality teams
  • Work-cross functionally with other Scout departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
