Valet Coordinator
About the job
- A valid Qatar driver's licence is required.
- Provide guests with an exceptional arrival and departure experience that makes them feel welcome.
- Welcome and greet guests courteously and open doors for them.
- Act as an ambassador for the hotel and engage guests to provide superior service.
- Inform guests about the hotel, its services, the city, and local happenings.
- Stay aware of functions taking place in the hotel.
- Memorize VIP clients' vehicle registration numbers and recognize frequent guests by face to provide personalized service.
- Work with the Doorman, Bell Captain, and Bellmen to handle luggage carefully, accurately, and quickly.
- Stand at the hotel's main entrance, obtain keys from drivers, and assist with items or luggage.
- Supervise the parking and retrieval of cars.
- Retrieve cars for returning owners and help them get into their cars.
- Cross-check luggage inside vehicles before departure.
- Ensure valet equipment, including poles and valet tags, and other supplies are working properly and stocked.
- Coordinate with key room attendants and other staff to handle requests appropriately.
- Assist the Chief Concierge in creating weekly schedules for extra events.
- Communicate frequently with customers and staff.
- Manage the parking area, including poles, traffic lights, and people, ensuring it is organized and clean.
- Give and receive valet tickets.
- Control guests' vehicle keys safely and securely.
- Conduct a vehicle-key audit with the valet team at the end of each shift.
- Conduct safety checks on parked vehicles.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the front of the hotel.
- Check that valet staff are on duty and have signed the attendance sheet.
- Check valet staff attendance and grooming.
- Ensure housekeeping provides uniforms on time.
- Assist the Chief Concierge with weekly headcounts and attendance-sheet reviews.
