Solidgate and Airwallex to give merchants local acquiring as they expand into new markets globally.

Solidgate and Airwallex to give merchants local acquiring as they expand into new markets globally. Solidgate and Airwallex partner to help merchants lower cross-border fees and improve international conversion rates through local payment acquiring. Curated by Financing Your Way from original reporting by Finextra - Lending. Summary is AI-assisted and editorially reviewed - see its editorial standards. This partnership between Solidgate and Airwallex makes it significantly easier for retailers to sell to customers in international markets without the high costs of cross-border transactions. For your business, this means you can offer local payment methods and process transactions through local banking networks in Europe, the UK, and beyond. By using 'local acquiring,' you avoid the high fees and low conversion rates often associated with international credit card processing. The technical integration allows merchants to bypass the complexity of setting up separate bank accounts in every country where they want to sell. Instead, you can provide a seamless checkout experience that feels local to the customer, which is proven to reduce cart abandonment. As consumer financing and alternative payment methods become more localized, having an infrastructure that supports these diverse payment types is critical for any merchant looking to scale outside of their home country. This update simplifies the back-end plumbing of global commerce so you can focus on inventory and marketing. Who else is covering this

Creem partners with Airwallex to diversify payment infrastructure.

Creem partners with Airwallex to diversify payment infrastructure. Creem has partnered with Airwallex to diversify its payment infrastructure beyond a single provider. Creem has partnered with Airwallex to diversify its payment infrastructure beyond a single provider. The Estonia-based merchant of record has restructured the payments layer underpinning its platform, moving from a single-provider model to one that runs across multiple partners, with Airwallex named as the partner integrated into the new setup. As a merchant of record, Creem handles compliance, tax, and payouts on behalf of the software companies it serves, alongside the payments infrastructure required to move funds across multiple countries. According to the company, this infrastructure had previously depended on a single payment provider, meaning that any disruption on that provider's side would have affected every merchant operating on Creem's platform. To address this concentration risk, Creem has restructured its payments infrastructure to operate across several partners rather than a single set of rails. The company has stated that the new structure allows it to add further partners over time and reduces its exposure to a single point of failure, a risk it described as central to the reliability of its platform. Airwallex has been named as the first partner integrated into this restructured infrastructure. The company operates payment rails that move tens of billions across more than 100 countries, supporting merchants that sell and settle funds internationally. Creem has indicated that its decision to work with Airwallex was based not only on the scale of Airwallex's infrastructure but also on the responsiveness shown during the integration process, including its willingness to accommodate the pace of a smaller company. The move to a multi-provider infrastructure is intended to give merchants using Creem's platform greater resilience against payment disruptions, since reliance is no longer concentrated on a single provider. Creem has indicated that additional partners may be added to its infrastructure as the multi-provider approach develops further, though no timeline has been specified for further integrations. At the same time, for Airwallex, the partnership adds a merchant-of-record platform to its network of businesses relying on its cross-border payment rails, reflecting continued demand from software companies for infrastructure that supports international sales without requiring them to manage compliance and payment operations directly... Airwallex New Zealand: how to stop profit leaking when you trade overseas.

Airwallex New Zealand: how to stop profit leaking when you trade overseas. Danny Pritchard September 10, 2026 It's always a joy to watch its clients take their businesses overseas and reach new international markets. But almost every one of them hits the same stumbling block on the way: profit starts leaking. And it's not always obvious at first. The exchange rate your bank quietly builds in. The fee on every transfer. The card spend across three currencies that takes half a day to reconcile at month end. None of it shows up as a line in Xero called "money we lost moving money around." It just sits inside your cost of sales, when it could be sitting in your pocket. How much are you actually paying to move your own money? This is one of the most common things Bring On Monday see once a New Zealand business starts trading across borders. You grow into overseas markets, or you start buying from overseas suppliers, and somewhere profit goes missing. The frustrating part is that it seems invisible. A bank's exchange rate margin doesn't arrive as an invoice. It's mixed into the number, so it never gets questioned. Multiply that across every transfer, every supplier payment, and every foreign card transaction, and the "small" cost of doing business internationally becomes a genuine dent in your margin. If you're buying from overseas, or selling into Australia, the UK or the US, this is worth looking into properly. Because the money you're losing here is often pure profit, and that should be in your pocket. Why Bring On Monday has partnered with Airwallex. To give its clients a better option, Bring On Monday has become an official Airwallex partner and teamed up with the Airwallex team here in New Zealand. Together Bring On Monday is helping New Zealand businesses simplify global payments, manage multi-currency spend, and access smarter tools for cards, expenses and international growth, all in one place. Here's what that actually means for you: Local currency accounts in the markets you trade in. Hold and collect in AUD, USD, GBP, EUR and more, so you're not converting back and forth (and paying for the privilege) every time money moves. Exchange rates that don't punish you. Access to interbank-style FX rates instead of the margin most banks build in, on transfers large and small. Multi-currency business cards, issued in minutes. With real-time spend tracking and limits, so foreign card spend stops being a month-end mystery. Expenses that reconcile themselves. Airwallex plugs straight into Xero, so that half-day reconciliation job disappears, and you get your time back! It's another way Bring On Monday is helping its clients operate with more confidence, flexibility and control. Less time wrangling admin, more time actually running the business. Is Airwallex a good fit for your NZ business? Honestly, it depends on how much of your money crosses a border. If you occasionally pay one overseas invoice a year, your bank is probably fine. But if you're importing stock, paying overseas contractors, running ad spend in USD, or selling into Australia, the UK or the US, the numbers usually stack up quickly. The more currencies you touch, the more a tool like Airwallex tends to pay for itself, both in saved fees and in the hours you get back! Bring On Monday'll tell you if it's not worth the switch for your situation. But for most of its clients trading internationally, it is. This is a margin conversation, not a banking one. Here's the thing Bring On Monday want to be clear about: sorting out your global payments isn't an IT job or a banking job. It's a margin decision, and margins are its territory. Plugging a profit leak in your cost of sales is exactly the kind of unglamorous, high-return work that moves the numbers without you selling anything more. It sits right alongside the rest of what Bring On Monday do: getting your cash flow under control and building the financial engine to scale properly rather than just getting busier. If you're expanding into a new market, juggling multiple currencies, or paying overseas suppliers, let's have a look at what it's really costing you. Most owners are surprised by the answer. Talk to Bring On Monday about your global payments and let's find out how much of your profit is currently leaking out the door, and how much of it Bring On Monday can get back in your pocket. Then if you're ready for Airwallex Bring On Monday can help get you started. Bring On Monday is Bring On Monday, an accounting and business advisory team for NZ small business owners (turning over $250K - $10M) who want more than just a filing service. Roblox has outlined browser play and creator earnings changes at RDC 2026.

Roblox has outlined browser play and creator earnings changes at RDC 2026. Roblox has announced browser-based play, offline modes and new ways for creators to receive and spend their earnings. Roblox has set out plans for browser-based game access, offline-playable modes and new creator payment tools at its 2026 Developers Conference. Players will be able to launch Roblox games directly through a browser at the end of 2026, rather than needing to install the app. Lead Engineer Nick Tornow said the change will mean "friends can share a text or social media post, and someone can click it and drop right into the game." A dedicated friends tab is also coming to chat, alongside AI-powered speech-to-text and emojis. Offline-playable modes are scheduled to arrive from mid-2027, while standalone Roblox apps will let people join individual games without first navigating the wider platform. Roblox also outlined faster loading and rendering, as well as graphics additions including blur, shadows and orthographic 2.5D-style camera support. For creators, Roblox Wallet will provide automatic daily payouts in their local currency, alongside analytics showing where earnings come from. The feature is due to roll out in the US in December 2026, before arriving in the UK and EU in the first half of 2027, with a wider global launch to follow. Roblox is also partnering with Airwallex on Roblox Card, a physical card intended to let developers spend their earnings outside the platform. Chief Business Officer Enrico D'Angelo said, "this does not mean that Roblox will become a financial institution or run as a bank." The conference also included AI-focused development announcements, including tools Roblox says can generate games from a single prompt, alter environments and weather through Roblox Reality, test games without real players, and help shape NPC behaviour and dialogue.
