Requirements
  • At least 2 years of prior relevant experience in networking infrastructure.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Comfortable commuting to different Las Vegas properties/offices depending on location assignment.
  • Must have or able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration prior to being processed.
  • Able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person support to customers and employees experiencing network connectivity issues with their devices (phones, tablets, PCs).
  • Take charge of installing, terminating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a diverse range of network cabling, including fiber optic, UTP, STP, and more.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to network devices and the cable plant.
  • Utilize advanced testing equipment such as Corning Fusion Splicers, Fluke OTDRs, and Fluke Link Runners to ensure robust network health.
  • Share your expertise with team members on the use of specialized test equipment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cable plant infrastructure, contributing to our knowledge base and improving system efficiency.
  • Configure network hardware for edge and core network equipment, as well as Serial-to-IP devices, to enhance network capabilities and reliability.
  • Oversee the installation of network hardware and cable assemblies, utilizing both copper and fiber, to maintain and expand our network infrastructure.
  • Manage contractor access to sensitive areas, ensuring all work adheres to MGM Resorts' high standards of security and quality.
