Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of related valuations or financial analysis experience, with preference for knowledge in dental practice transitions consulting and/or practice valuations
  • Intermediate understanding of business financials, including tax forms, depreciation schedules, financial statements, balance sheets, payroll reports as well as practice management reporting, and other practice business related documentation
  • Typically Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field preferred
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook and Teams, Salesforce.com with provided training, Microsoft OneDrive and Progress ShareFile, and internet research ability
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive and associated web applications
  • Experience with dental practice transition and sales processes and foundations of practice value strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and digest dental practice management and related business reporting (all systems)
  • Mathematical aptitude and computer applications skills required
  • Travel typically less than 10%

Responsibilities
  • Process valuation documentation including tracking missing items and communicating with Dental Practice Transitions Transition Sales Consultants to facilitate completion, including preparation of communications for follow-up with clients or advisors
  • Analyze missing or incorrect information and independently advise on next steps to move the package forward in the evaluation process
  • Apply financial acumen in review of complex financial, tax and practice management documentation
  • Analyze provider productivity, procedure mix, staffing structure, and other operational reporting
  • Research and interpret market transaction data to support developing valuation conclusions
  • Update TSC, DPT Sales Support Specialist and TSC’s Regional Manager on package status and communications in Salesforce.com
  • Enter data to prepare valuation into Salesforce.com and templates, including data from questionnaires and supplementary reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of review, requests and status updates in Salesforce.com
  • Process, review and evaluate tax returns and other financial statements, cross-reference with CRM for accuracy
  • Identify key areas within financial documentation and assess consistency with industry norms
  • Finalize process status and documentation after final review
  • Prepare practice proforma and prospectus documentation through in-depth review and analysis of financial statements and related documents
  • Scrutinize financial and other data against industry standards and practice norms
  • Develop and present questions to aid analysis of data
  • Make substantiated adjustments based on information from doctors, CPAs, TSCs and historical data to develop a model picture of the business
  • Review contributory data sources to establish suggested value in cases not amenable to full evaluation
  • Finalize proforma, cash flow and evaluation documentation for management approval
  • Compile, edit and finalize required written reporting for management and TSC review and delivery to client
  • Edit, finalize and deliver practice financial package for listing as required
  • Redact documentation as per company policy when required
  • Complete self and peer review of valuation packages to improve efficiency, reduce production time and increase accuracy
  • Respond to inquiries from clients regarding valuation results, process or methodology
  • Participate in cross-training in all areas of valuation department including Tangible Asset valuations and cash flow summaries
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as requested by supervisor

Henry Schein raises 2026 guidance after Q2 sales hit $3.5B on dental gains

Henry Schein reported second-quarter sales of $3.5 billion, up 6.7% year-over-year, driven by 4.6% internal local-currency growth and foreign exchange benefits. The healthcare distributor raised its full-year guidance following stronger-than-expected performance. GAAP net income rose to $94 million, or $0.82 per diluted share, from $86 million a year earlier. Non-GAAP earnings reached $1.27 per share, up 15.5% from $1.10 in the prior-year period. Operating margins expanded across all segments. GAAP operating margin increased 27 basis points to 4.94%, whilst non-GAAP operating margin grew 25 basis points to 7.21%. US dental merchandise sales climbed 8.3%, including 6.5% internal growth, with the company reporting market-share gains. Chief Executive Officer Fred Lowery attributed results to operational execution and early benefits from its value-creation programme.

Eleven Black CEOs currently lead Fortune 500 companies, representing just 2% of America's largest corporations but marking a record high that has doubled since 2021. These companies collectively generated $432 billion in revenue and hold a combined market value of $405 billion.
