Requirements
  • Experience developing critical pursuit capture strategies aligned with business targets and growth strategy, with recognition as an industry expert.

Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise-critical pursuits exceeding $20 million by formulating clear and compelling capture and client-positioning strategies.
  • Drive integrated strategies to improve capture and win rates and secure transformative programs.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and use insights from recent wins and losses to refine strategies.
  • Build trust with client decision-makers, delivery partners, internal stakeholders, Client Account Managers, Market Sector Leaders, and Regional Business Line Leaders.
  • Drive growth by positioning for and capturing new business opportunities and renewals or extensions within key accounts.
  • Lead holistic capture-strategy development, including client listening, win-strategy creation, solution development, marketing-communications planning, answer planning, reviews, debriefs, and lessons learned.
  • Partner with proposal, marketing, technical, operations, and commercial teams to prepare capture plans for complex proposals.
  • Establish and nurture client relationships, identify needs, deliver tailored solutions, and develop opportunity pipelines based on client intelligence.
  • Position AECOM solutions, including environmental, social, and governance initiatives, digitalization, and equity-focused initiatives, to meet client transformation agendas.
  • Partner with business-line representatives to engage clients at the appropriate times and align capture outcomes with client expectations.
  • Drive cultural change in capture approaches by facilitating adoption of AECOM positioning and pursuit playbooks and rolling out regional training.
  • Support strategic capture capability growth by coaching and training regional capture and work-winning teams, including Client Account Managers, capture, bidding, and marketing-communications professionals.
  • Facilitate pursuit-strategy meetings and guide and coach client-engagement, positioning, presentation, and interview teams.
  • Promote collaboration among multidisciplinary teams across the region and globally.
  • Guide technical writers in developing compliant, compelling, and persuasive content.
  • Ensure partnership among technical, marketing, and proposal staff for proposal best practices.
  • Champion the complete sales-process lifecycle, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to Green Light Analysis and Go/No-Go rigor.
  • Coordinate strategy development with growth-enabler functions, including the Major Pursuits Team, Client Listening, Digital AECOM, artificial intelligence, strategic marketing communications, and human resources, for enterprise-critical pursuits.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial, financial, legal, governance, opportunity, and contract requirements.
  • Drive accountability for sales metrics and achieve high capture and win rates.
