Tieto achieves Databricks Silver Partner status and expands its data and AI capabilities across enterprise transformation and healthcare innovation. WEBWIRE - Thursday, March 19, 2026 Tieto today announced it has achieved Silver partner status within the Databricks Partner Program, demonstrating the company's rapid growth and deepening expertise in data engineering, analytics, and AI. This milestone reflects Tieto's strategic commitment to building next generation data and AI capabilities on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. As organizations accelerate their efforts to operationalize AI, Databricks has become a key enabler for unifying data, governance, and machine learning at scale. Strengthening this partnership is therefore a central pillar of Tieto's long-term AI strategy. Tieto Tech Consulting: a strategic competence shift and AI platform capabilities To meet growing customer demand, Tieto Tech Consulting is launching a structured longer-term competence shift program focused on expanding and elevating its existing Databricks capabilities. The initiative includes: * Significant expansion of the data and AI team, with new roles in data engineering, machine learning, and platform operations - including a commitment to doubling the number of Databricks specialists in 2026 to support increasingly complex AI and data modernization initiatives * Comprehensive training and certification tracks aligned with Databricks' professional standards, and * A long-term roadmap to build one of the strongest Databricks-focused delivery capabilities in the Nordics and Central Europe. "Achieving Silver Partner status is an important milestone, but it's only the beginning," says Pär Johansson, Interim Managing Director, Tieto Tech Consulting. "Databricks is becoming the backbone of modern AI architectures, and our investments reflect the scale of opportunity we see for our customers." To enable better customer outcomes, Tieto Tech Consulting is also investing in AI platform capabilities that enable clients to build secure, scalable, and governed environments for data, machine learning, and generative AI. These investments position Tieto to guide customers through the full AI lifecycle - from data readiness and platform engineering to model development, deployment, and ongoing optimization. "As organizations move from experimentation to production-ready AI, the focus shifts to delivering real business value," added Pär Johansson. "With Databricks as a key part of our strategy, we can support clients end-to-end - from building data foundations to designing, implementing, and operating secure, and high-performance data platforms." Tieto Caretech: Actionable insights for better care The strengthened Databricks partnership is already delivering tangible results in healthcare.
