Requirements
  • No experience or degree is needed; training is provided.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
  • Be able to lift 40–50 pounds.
  • Be willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
  • Be available for a flexible schedule and arrive on time for every shift.
  • Pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test, for this safety-sensitive job.
  • Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules.
  • Bring steel-toe safety boots that extend above the ankle.
Responsibilities
  • Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic-control equipment down.
  • Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic while watching traffic and job-site activity.
  • Follow all safety rules taught in training.
  • Communicate with the crew and supervisor.
  • Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
  • Work outside throughout the year and in all weather.
  • Work shifts that may include nights, weekends, or emergency assignments based on job needs.
  • Stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
