Requirements
  • Have strong frontend engineering skills (React, TypeScript) paired with design sensibility.
  • Think deeply about interaction design, information architecture, and developer experience.
  • Are curious about AI systems and eager to learn how agents, evaluations, and observability work.
  • Enjoy prototyping quickly and iterating toward polish.
  • Care about accessibility, performance, and craft.
  • Thrive in open-source communities and async collaboration.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build compelling product experiences for Arize Phoenix across UI-driven and programmatic workflows.
  • Create interactive visualizations for embeddings, traces, evaluation runs, and agent/tool workflows.
  • Develop reusable components and templates for our design system, from concept to production.
  • Build Agent Experience primitives: interaction contracts, human-in-the-loop workflows, and agent-friendly UI surfaces.
  • Enable agents to query, navigate, trigger evaluations.
  • Shape the patterns that define how humans and AI agents collaborate within a shared workspace.
  • Prototype new AI features and UI patterns for visualizing performance, surfacing anomalies, and explaining AI behavior—especially for multi-step agent systems.
  • Use AI-assisted UI generation to accelerate prototyping while maintaining craft, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Push the boundaries of what's possible when your users include both humans and machines.

Arize AI provides a platform for AI observability and LLM evaluation that helps teams monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of machine learning models, including generative models, NLP, computer vision, and recommender systems. It works by delivering analytics and workflows, tracing LLM operations (traces and spans), retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and task-based evaluations for issues like hallucinations, relevance, and citation checks. The platform distinguishes itself by offering end-to-end AI observability and LLM evaluation for top AI companies, with embedding-based RAG analysis to diagnose missing or irrelevant context. The goal is to help AI teams ensure models perform optimally and continuously improve their AI systems.

What believers are saying

  • Open-source Phoenix drives product-led growth, securing $131M total funding and 2M+ monthly downloads.
  • Deep Azure AI and Amazon Bedrock integrations accelerate enterprise adoption in cloud-native AI deployments.
  • Named to Agentic List 2026, validating leadership in production agentic AI observability infrastructure.

What critics are saying

  • LangSmith’s LangChain integration displaces Phoenix, reducing top-of-funnel acquisition with 50–65% probability in 9–15 months.
  • Microsoft Azure AI Foundry’s native SDKs threaten monetization, with 50–65% risk in 9–15 months impacting enterprise sales.
  • Open-source tracing standardization under non-Arize license could collapse Phoenix moat, with 20–35% existential risk in 18–36 months.

What makes Arize AI unique

  • Offers dual model: open-source Phoenix for developers and enterprise AX with SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA compliance.
  • Built on OpenTelemetry standard, enabling native integration with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and OpenAI Agents SDK.
  • Processes over 1 trillion spans monthly, supporting scale unmatched by most AI observability competitors.

Arize AI: production-ready AI agent observability workshops.

Arize AI: production-ready AI agent observability workshops. 4h ago · 0:00 listen · Source: TipRanks Summary. Arize AI is highlighting two hands-on workshops at the AI Engineer World's Fair. These sessions focus on moving from experimental to production-ready AI agents. Laurie Voss will lead workshops that cover tracing, evaluations, experiments, and production monitoring. A financial-analyst agent will be used as a practical example. The workshops include a 101-level session on instrumentation, error analysis, and feedback loops. A 201-level workshop extends to session-level evaluations, RAG quality scoring, and autonomous issue investigation using Arize's Signal product. This emphasis on end-to-end observability suggests Arize AI is positioning itself as a key infrastructure provider for production AI systems. This could be particularly relevant for data-intensive sectors like financial services. These workshops aim to deepen developer engagement and could enhance Arize AI's standing in the AI observability market. This is an AI-generated audio summary.
