Requirements
  • Experience administering Cloudera CDP Private Cloud, CDH Administration, or another Hadoop distribution.
  • Experience with Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS.
  • Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, YARN, Hive, and Impala.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, and NiFi.
  • Experience with Apache Ranger, Atlas, Knox, and KMS.
  • Experience with Kerberos, Active Directory, and LDAP.
  • Experience with Ozone, Iceberg, Kudu, and HBase.
  • Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with shell scripting and Python.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and capacity planning.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Active Directory integration, Kerberos authentication, TLS/SSL certificate management, Apache Ranger authorization policies, Ranger KMS, and encryption at rest using TDE.
  • Experience with data backup, disaster-recovery replication, and restoration.
Responsibilities
  • Administer, install, configure, and maintain Cloudera Data Platform 7.x environments, including Cloudera Manager, HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, HBase, Kafka, Ozone, Kudu, Ranger, Atlas, Knox, and Data Services components.
  • Manage cluster operations and health monitoring, including service lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, scaling, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, including cluster failures, performance bottlenecks, service outages, Kerberos authentication issues, network connectivity problems, and application integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, database, and application teams, bankers, and Cloudera support to resolve platform issues.
