Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A four-year engineering degree plus two or more years of similar construction scheduling experience, or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work with a team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A valid driver's license and any endorsements required for the position.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
  • Successful completion of required color and vision examinations.
  • The ability to hear and distinguish auditory signals required by the position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with established safety policies and procedures, including reporting safety violations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager with executing the project according to the contract documents.
  • Understand Herzog Contracting Corp.'s contractual obligations to the client and the client's obligations in return.
  • Manage, lead, and support Field Engineers with developing construction work plans and developing and processing submittals, requests for information, and potential change order documentation in compliance with the contract documents.
  • Assist with project cost forecasting and ensure costs are coded to the correct cost code.
  • Support development and maintenance of the project's critical path method schedule and ensure materials are procured in a timely manner.
  • Review submittals and requests for information for completeness and accuracy before transmitting them to the Owner.
  • Assist with progress payment applications to the Owner and subcontract administration.
  • Regularly engage in, participate in, and promote Herzog's culture and essential behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work primarily in an office environment and frequently sit for extended periods.
  • Frequently use a computer keyboard and office-related equipment.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, lift, stoop, or bend.
  • Complete required pre-employment background, motor vehicle report, physical, medical, and drug-screen reviews.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Procore or PM Web.
