Requirements
  • Be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Have 1 to 2 years of clinical experience working with families, preferably in child welfare or mental health counseling.
  • Demonstrate expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Have computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Have knowledge of mental health principles, practices, and current evidence-based approaches.
  • Maintain client confidentiality, professional boundaries, ethical standards, and professional codes of conduct.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity to people from various backgrounds.
  • Have strong interpersonal, verbal, written, communication, active listening, empathy, and collaboration abilities.
  • Be able to complete all assigned work accurately and within prescribed timeframes.
  • Be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work hours based on the needs of the program.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of individuals and families participating in the Family Treatment Rehabilitation program and submit documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in monthly Clinical Diagnostic Team meetings and provide expert consultation and case guidance.
  • Provide psychoeducation, mental health training, and informational support to Family Treatment Rehabilitation staff on complex cases.
  • Participate in mandatory programmatic and agency trainings.
  • Integrate culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices into all aspects of care.
  • Review internal intake assessments and mental health documentation to support identification of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with Family Treatment Rehabilitation staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing mental health needs.
