London
Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. We have large open plan spaces and a feature staircase connecting our 3 floors, encouraging our collaborative and open culture. We also have a big outdoor terrace where we can have lunch and host social events when the sun comes out!
THE ROLE
The Social Media Writer will play an integral role in the social media team. You will be responsible for writing all social copy and content across FARFETCH social media platforms for organic and paid activations.
You are a self-starter who proactively loves sharing new ideas, as well as a deep knowledge of social media and a finger on the pulse of all things social. You will be a great writer with a proven track record of content creation for social media channels
You will collaborate closely with fashion, creative, influencer and brand partnerships teams to deliver best in class social across all Farfetch marketing campaigns.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate closely with the brand and creative team to ensure content on our social media channels is best-in-class
- Contribute strong, on-brand content ideas in our weekly social meeting and reactively in response to cultural events and trends
- Execute flawless and accurate copy, sometimes working to tight deadlines
- Translate the FARFETCH tone of voice into engaging, on-point social captions
WHO YOU ARE
- Must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of leading social media trends and techniques with an interest in creative innovation across key channels including Instagram and TikTok.
- An understanding of Asian social networks as a plus, but not mandatory.
- A great writer with a proven track-record of writing successful social media copy
- An obsessive attention to detail and a track record of operating in a fast-paced environment and being able to deal with ambiguity is essential.
- A team player who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn; enthusiasm and time management is a must as are excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt, interpret, prioritise and deliver actions promptly with a sharp attention to detail
- Ability to work reactively with flexibility when required within a fast-paced environment
- A keen interest in the fashion industry is strongly preferred
