Project Manager - Construction
About the job
- At least 7 years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Experience managing projects valued at approximately $10 million to $100 million or larger.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project financials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software.
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
- Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, requests for information, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate procurement and subcontractor buyout activities.
- Partner with field superintendents to achieve schedule and quality expectations.
- Monitor project costs, billing, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Identify and proactively resolve project risks and challenges.
- Maintain client relationships throughout the life of the project.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts when needed.
- Industrial and tilt-up construction experience.
- Experience with industrial facilities, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, warehouse construction, tilt-up concrete construction, commercial offices, education, or retail.
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
