Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or another related field is strongly preferred.
  • At least four years of professional experience in financial planning and analysis, reporting, or a similar finance role are required.
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, variance analysis, and financial reporting is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including managing and analyzing large datasets, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting processes of the investment advisor and captive service providers, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain financial models for the investment advisor, including revenue and expense projections.
  • Monitor the investment advisor's performance against budget and forecast.
  • Oversee and communicate with Barings accounting and third-party service providers on accounting and tax matters.
  • Prepare cash flow projections for the investment advisor, captive service providers, and other related entities as required.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and reporting requests for senior leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue drivers, cost trends, and profitability to identify key business drivers.
  • Partner with business leaders and operational teams to communicate financial results and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Support the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting and reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Barings names Brian Maute as head of US wealth distribution

Barings has appointed Brian Maute as Head of U.S. Wealth in a newly created role. Maute will lead the firm's US wealth distribution strategy across intermediary channels, including registered investment advisors, broker dealers, private banks and family offices. He will report to Ilena Coyle, Head of North America Insurance and Intermediary Distribution. Maute joins from DWS Group, where he spent over 15 years, most recently as Head of U.S. Wealth and chief executive officer of DWS Distributors. He will focus on expanding advisor and investor access to Barings' global investment platform across credit, real assets, capital solutions and emerging markets. Barings is a $502 billion global alternative asset manager and subsidiary of MassMutual.

Fidelis Partnership prices $2.04B refinancing, cuts debt cost to SOFR + 2.75%

The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has priced a $2.04 billion refinancing, replacing its unitranche facility with a new senior secured Term Loan B facility. The transaction reduces TFP's cost of debt to SOFR + 2.75% from SOFR + 5%. The refinancing comes with TFP's inaugural public credit ratings: Ba3 (Stable) from Moody's, BB- (Positive) from Fitch, and B+ (Positive) from S&P. TFP's written premium reached $5.4 billion in 2025 through organic growth. The company now underwrites across more than 150 lines of business in 140 countries. Founder Richard Brindle said the refinancing marks an important milestone. The Term Loan B is expected to close in August 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

EACON raises up to $295M in Hong Kong IPO as world's first listed autonomous mining solutions provider

EACON Group, positioning itself as the world's first publicly listed autonomous mining solutions provider, has launched its Hong Kong IPO, offering 26.13 million H-shares to raise approximately HK$2.12 billion to HK$2.30 billion. Eleven institutional investors, including Zijin Mining, XCMG, Fidelity International and JP Morgan Asset Management, have committed capital at the regulatory cap of roughly 50% of the offering. EACON operates the world's largest fleet of autonomous mining vehicles, with 2,580 active trucks as of December 2025, commanding a 55.5% share of China's autonomous mining solutions market. The company has raised RMB2.06 billion across 11 funding rounds, with backing from CATL, NIO Capital and Eight Roads. According to Frost & Sullivan, the global autonomous mining solutions market is projected to grow from $1 billion in 2025 to $7.3 billion by 2030.
