About the Job

Requirements

  • Three to five years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads, in-house or at an agency, with budgets requiring a rigorous, data-driven approach.
  • Experience in lead generation with a supporting sales team, ideally in B2B, B2B2C, or considered-purchase B2C environments.
  • Practical experience with offline conversion imports or enhanced conversions for leads integrated with a CRM such as HubSpot.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, with confidence working with spreadsheets and performance data.
  • Native-level Italian and fluent English.
  • Understand Smart Bidding and how conversion data affects its effectiveness, and have worked with a CRM to connect advertising activity with business outcomes.
  • Analyze search terms, identify intent clusters, refine match types, and uncover campaign opportunities.
  • Follow leads beyond form submission, work with Sales, understand lead quality, and use feedback to improve campaign performance.
  • Distinguish meaningful trends from short-term fluctuations and make decisions based on reliable data.
  • Write clear, specific ads in natural Italian focused on customers' problems.
  • Take ownership of results, experiment, measure impact, and proactively address issues.

Responsibilities

  • Own Google Ads end to end, managing Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube campaigns alongside Microsoft Ads, including account structure, budgets, bidding strategies, search-term analysis, negative keywords, and experimentation.
  • Connect campaign performance with outcomes after form submission, including qualified leads, meetings held, and signed contracts; work on offline conversion imports, enhanced conversions, and value-based bidding to optimize for business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities related to regulatory changes, updated price lists, tax deadlines, and industry events, and build campaigns to reach prospective customers at relevant times.
  • Align triggers, ads, landing pages, and conversion tracking with the team to create a consistent journey from initial search to qualified opportunity.
  • Collaborate with the frontend developer to improve landing pages, forms, and loading speed, focusing on mobile conversion.
  • Manage the Spanish account and help build a repeatable acquisition playbook for future markets in collaboration with local teams and native speakers.
  • Monitor performance weekly, focusing on cost per qualified lead and pipeline contribution; identify performance drivers and act on insights.
  • During the first month, join sales calls and visit a construction site, audit the Google Ads account and conversion tracking setup, and implement initial improvements.
  • During the second month, launch an improved account structure, feed downstream conversions into bidding strategies, and begin structured experiments.
  • During the third month, take ownership of weekly channel performance reviews, manage the Spanish account, and define opportunities to scale.

Desired Qualifications

  • Spanish proficiency or experience managing campaigns across multiple countries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Ads, performance-oriented YouTube campaigns, Google Ads scripts, or APIs.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, PostHog, Looker Studio, or BigQuery.
  • Experience targeting small business owners or working in traditional industries.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence to accelerate campaign analysis, scripting, and ad-variant generation while understanding its limitations.
  • Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
