Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years of related hospitality experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, financial reports, and government regulations.
  • The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • The ability to participate actively in discussions and present information effectively to management, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical ability to read and interpret financial information, prepare budgets, and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, probability, and statistical inference.
  • The ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide viable solutions.
  • The ability to interpret and analyze instructions or policies in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • A valid New Hampshire driver's license and favorable driving record to operate the company vehicle and travel to and from function sites.
  • Non-slip shoes are required.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and driver record check.
  • The ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting, carrying, or transporting of food, objects, or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to perform the required physical activities, including walking, sitting, standing, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and smelling.
  • The ability to work in outdoor conditions including wind, rain, cold, snow, extreme heat, and changing temperatures, with potential exposure to cleaning solvents or fumes.
Responsibilities
  • Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled.
  • Maintain food, beverage, and guest service quality standards.
  • Provide professional and courteous guest service and represent the brand during events.
  • Lead banquet staff training and assign staff to training servers in partnership with the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Respond to guests’ requests, questions, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as the point of contact for associates during events.
  • Communicate with staff and execute all details of Banquet Event Orders.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure the client’s event vision and plan are met.
  • Assist with setting up banquet and conference spaces, audiovisual equipment, food and beverage, and displays or exhibits according to client needs.
  • Coordinate with departments to determine updated food counts, banquet timing, and setup arrangements.
  • Assist with controlling food, beverage, and labor costs for the Banquet Department.
  • Monitor service and satisfaction trends, address issues, and implement improvements.
  • Communicate and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members, clients, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Assist with audiovisual services.
  • Ensure banquet equipment is maintained, operational, and clean.
  • Complete projects assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Attend team and department meetings.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
