Kitchen Production Team Leader
About the job
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen operation, with proven leadership abilities and commercial acumen in effective cost and resource management.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities, computer knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
- Experience supporting and implementing action plans.
- Experience supervising and working with a diverse team.
- Culinary skills and the ability to multitask.
- Be responsible for kitchen production area operations, reporting to the Kitchen Production Manager.
- Assist in forecasting and purchasing food and goods supplies.
- Monitor man-hour rosters and supervise kitchen co-workers to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage waste and portioning, and improve kitchen production efficiency.
- Ensure kitchen facilities conform to safety and sanitary regulations and HACCP standards, and carry out food safety procedures as needed.
- Assist with menu implementation and launches.
- Lead by example and share knowledge by developing and coaching co-workers.
