Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience required
  • Experience working on a team and using call center software
  • Education or consultative sales experience is preferred
  • Military affiliation is preferred
  • Ability to use technology and navigate multiple technological systems
  • Ability to participate as an active team member of the team and organization and work toward a common goal
  • Personal ownership and accountability is the highest priority; takes ownership and proactively finds resolutions on the student’s behalf
  • High regard for personal integrity toward themselves, prospective students, and the university
  • Builds effective relationships and helps to seek alignment with colleagues, functional partners, and external partners to accomplish university outcomes

Responsibilities
  • Proactively engages prospective students’ inquiries by telephone, text, and/or email to increase contact with prospective students
  • Builds rapport with prospective students and assists with the enrollment process from inquiry to the first class start
  • Documents interactions via Salesforce in notes, status, and activity reports
  • Proactively manages the Inquiry to Enrollment admissions process
  • Knows the policies and all programs within the university and provides accurate information to prospective students
  • Helps each prospective student understand their needs and goals to make a good, informed decision
  • Demonstrates proficiency in university, college, and program knowledge via training and assessment
  • Maintains professional demeanor, engagement, and courtesy to ensure a high level of service
  • Is a team player and contributes positively to the team atmosphere
  • Is punctual for student appointments and meetings and adheres to assigned schedules
  • Manages multiple systems to handle the student application file during enrollment
  • Passes a federal background check and maintains Dbids status
  • Guides students in documents needed for program estimates
  • Creates program estimates from students’ prior transcripts and meets with students to address degree plans
  • Enrolls students in a program and works to create a start plan
  • Develops student schedules, adds and drops classes, and re-creates schedules as needed
  • Addresses any concerns before starting
  • Presents student orientations for new students via in-person, phone, and Internet
  • Collaborates with location Education Service Officer to relay information from the Education Office back to National University
  • May travel to nearby bases for coverage as needed
  • Attends Welcome Aboard for base new arrivals
  • Assists/attends teaching assistant orientations
  • Participates in on-base events such as education fairs, back-to-school nights, and base graduations
  • Hours may change due to base events
  • Participates in on-base drills such as fire and active shooter drills
  • Meets enrollment and starting class deadlines
  • Obtains approvals for all veterans, spouses, and dependents to access base facilities as required
  • All staff must be trained in military benefits including Tuition Assistance, GI Bill benefits, scholarships, and federal and state funding
  • Ensures compliance with Department of Defense requirements and Military Bases Memorandum of Understanding
  • Completes required training (PsychArmor and Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
