Responsibilities
  • Attend relevant training as directed.
  • Unlock the outside gates.
  • Unlock all rooms inside the school.
  • Bring fruit into the school.
  • Bring mail in from the mailbox and leave it in reception.
  • Check and sweep the tennis courts and playing field for debris or broken glass when necessary.
  • Check all outside areas.
  • Clean bird droppings from the artificial grass.
  • Blow leaves away at the back of the school play area and under the canopy.
  • Check the woodland area.
  • Sweep and tidy the quiet area outside the school hall.
  • Keep the areas under the canopy on the new school side clean.
  • Check all outside bins and change them when needed.
  • Clear the large playground of leaves when required.
  • Litter-pick when required.
  • Prepare the school for opening to children and staff.
  • Undertake essential maintenance and statutory checks each day and week.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous caretaking experience in a school or similar environment.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures and regulations.
