Requirements
Must have a full complement of hand tools.
Must have a personal reliable vehicle.
Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots with 6-inch ankle support.
Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal—Off Road or equivalent.
Must have between five and ten years of journeyperson experience.
Off-road experience is required.
Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is required.
Must be able to read, troubleshoot, and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics.
Strong organization and cleanliness skills are required.
Must complete drug and alcohol testing, which may be by swab or urine depending on site requirements.
Must successfully complete company orientation and site-specific orientation.
Must successfully complete a fitness-to-work assessment.
Responsibilities
Ensure all equipment is continually maintained to high standards and in a timely manner to ensure proper function and availability.
Perform preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance; repair and overhaul equipment; and troubleshoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards.
Oversee, supervise, and manage the day-to-day operations of field heavy equipment technicians.
Dispatch 10–12 field heavy equipment technicians and welders to ensure schedules and timelines are met.
Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure.
Promote, execute, and adhere to the company safety program, and encourage employees, subcontractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with CAT Scrapers is beneficial.

Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
