- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
- Service trucks, vans, cars, trailers, vibratory plows, directional drills, and other field equipment.
- Complete oil changes, fluid checks, tire repair or replacement, electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Assist with inventory management and parts organization.
- Complete parts runs and pick up materials as needed.
- Support field crews with occasional onsite or emergency repairs.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Experience with diesel engines, diesel equipment, and construction machinery.
- Experience with vibratory plows and directional drills.
- A Class A commercial driver's license.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
- Basic electrical repair knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Michigan Broadband Services provides fiber-based internet, voice, TV (TiVo-powered), and mobile services to residential and business customers in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Peninsula.
