Boiler Operator
About the job
- Proven experience operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems.
- Strong knowledge of steam generation, pressure vessel operations, and related mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and local regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in water treatment procedures and chemical analysis.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
- Ability to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in industrial environments.
- Operate and monitor boiler systems, including fuel supply, water levels, pressure gauges, and temperature controls.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, tubes, and valves.
- Perform water treatment and chemical analysis to ensure proper water quality.
- Document operational activities, maintenance performed, fuel consumption, and system parameters in maintenance logs.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, implementing corrective actions or escalating problems to maintenance personnel as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal conditions to maintain system integrity.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule repairs and system upgrades.
- Maintain a clean work environment while working required shift schedules.
- Boiler operator certification or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with automated boiler control systems and energy efficiency optimization.
- Knowledge of multiple boiler types and configurations.
